Terms

The agreement between you and us when you use the app or this site, in plain English.

Who we are

OnSalah is the app and this website. “We” and “us” in these terms means OnSalah; “you” means you.

Using the app

You can use the free parts of OnSalah for as long as you like. You need to be 13 or over. Please don’t misuse it: no attempts to break, overload or copy the service, and no using it to harm anyone.

Your account

An account is optional; it keeps your progress across phones. You can sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email. Keep access to that sign-in safe, as anyone who has it can see your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Privacy, then Delete my account).

Salah times and religious content

Salah times are calculated from your location and the method you choose. We work hard to make them accurate, but calculations can differ from your local masjid’s timetable, and far north some times are estimated (the app marks them). If in doubt, follow your masjid.

Reminders are scheduled on your phone, and your phone’s settings (Focus, battery saving, notification permissions) can delay or silence them. Please don’t rely on a reminder alone for a salah.

The app is a planner, not a scholar. Every hadith or ayah is quoted from a published, referenced source; nothing religious is written or reworded by AI, and the app never gives rulings. For a ruling, ask someone qualified. Cycle mode only changes which salah the app counts; it isn’t medical advice.

The full plan

The full plan is a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms cover payment, renewal and refunds. It starts with a 14-day free trial, once per person. It renews automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Prices differ by country and are shown in your store before you pay. If we change a price, the store tells you first, and you can cancel before it applies.

Founding members get a code in our launch email for a lower price on their first 3 months or first year. The code starts the plan straight away, in place of the free trial, and can be used once.

The 90-day guarantee

Log every day for 90 days. If your on-time salah hasn't gone up, your next 3 months are free. To qualify, log every day for the 90 days; the app compares your first two weeks of logs with your last two.

To claim, contact us within 30 days of your 90th day. If your log qualifies, we send you a code for 3 free months in your store. The guarantee is one claim per person, and it needs an account, so we can see your log.

Your data

How we handle your data is set out in our privacy notice. What you put in the app (your log, plans and notes) stays yours; you let us store it only to run the app for you. You can export or delete it at any time from the app.

App Store and Google Play

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for the app, its content or support, and have no obligation to maintain it. If the app fails to match any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, who may refund the price you paid; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you as a third party.

Ending

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law stops us. If we ever close the app for good, we’ll give you notice and a way to export your data first.

Our responsibility

We provide the app as it is and will fix problems as quickly as we can, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn’t let us exclude.

Changes and law

If we change these terms, we’ll update the version below and, for anything important, tell you in the app first. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
